Avipoint™ Bird Spikes
Quality bird spikes designed to ensure effective and humane urban bird management solutions for gulls and feral pigeons
Avipoint™ bird management spikes are manufactured in the United Kingdom, in a unique and highly automated process, to ensure the highest quality standards.
The Avipoint™ "P" series can be used to protect buildings against pigeons in a wide range of situations, from daytime perching to night roosting sites and from the narrowest of pipes to the widest of building ledges.
If areas are weather protected – beneath overhangs, in window heads, under canopies bird spikes are best not used. Spikes are most effective when fitted on exposed areas and for gulls and pigeons.

Key Bird Spike Features
Stackability

Glue Groove
Quick and Easy Glue Application
- On the underside of the base is a unique"glue groove" which allows the installer to quickly and easily apply adhesive to the base from a caulking gun.
- Holes in the groove are designed to allow 'rivets' of glue to form, when the strip is pressed onto the surface, to ensure the strip will be securely anchored.
- Alternatively, screw or rivet the bird spike base but thoroughly seal the penetration.
- Recommended adhesive: a ‘neutral cure’ RTV product suited to the surface being fixed to.
Installation of Avipoint Bird Spikes
Preparation:
- Clean the surface of lichen, slime, atmospheric dirt & bird contamination etc.
- Wire brush (then wipe or wash off) the surface being fixed to, if appropriate.
- A primer coat of paint will help provide a better key for the adhesive if the integrity of the surface is suspect to you.
- Application: When fitted on a ledge or parapet, the bird spike should protrude 5mm past the outer edge of the parapet.
- Apply a generous quantity of adhesive, position the spike and press down firmly.
- If complete coverage of the surface is required, refer to guidelines for each ‘P’ model.
- It is normal to mix & match for different surface widths: refer to photo with P32 on the parapet and sign infill, but P14 on the narrow sign frames.
